In British Columbia, health professionals who are entitled to use the designation RMT have met rigorous requirements including post-secondary education in sciences and in clinical applications of massage therapy. They have passed a multi-component registration exam and are registered with the College of Massage Therapy. RMTs are regulated under the Health Professionals Act, the Massage Therapists Regulation and the College's Bylaws. They must demonstrate continued competence and meet standards of practice and standards of professional ethics to ensure that they practice safely, effectively and ethically.

Susy graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 1999. Since that time, Susy has focused on rounding out her practice in order to best facilitate her patient’s healing. Her style of Massage Therapy ranges depending on the needs of the patient. Susy has completed continuing education studies in a wide variety of disciplines, including but not limited to, MET (muscle energy technique), Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Pregnancy massage and Sport Massage. Susy is equally comfortable giving a deep tissue sports massage combining postural balancing and trigger point release as she is pampering an expectant mother-to-be. Lately, Susy has been pursuing an interest in working with children.
